Emma Goldman and Alexander Berkman
July 9, 1917: Emma Goldman and Alexander Berkman were convinced of conspiracy against the
United States draft law and were sentenced to two years in the penitentiary and
fined $10,000 each. They both emigrated to Russia in 1919.
